500 Records is an artist-run label founded by four passionate members of the Bay Area music scene. Established in 2005, 500 Records began as a music collective with the goal of helping local artists and bands reach more listeners. Over the last three years, the label has promoted and released records in a variety of formats, always striving to help bring good music to good people. In September 2008, 500 Records partnered with the established Bay Area record label Three Ring Records, whose experience and enthusiasm for local music has allowed the label to secure full national and international distribution in both the physical and digital realm. 500 Records comes to NAIL via Three Ring Records.

Beehouse Records
Jason Bays and Colleen Coffey formed Ventura-based Beehouse Records in 2004 to release the records
of their newly-formed band, The Spires. Despite having no real intention to release other people's music, it has since become a
full-fledged record label and umbrella group for like-minded, dedicated, and self-reliant artists. A mixed bag in the
truest sense of the term, the Beehouse sound swings wide, from The Spires' reverberating washed-out jangle, and Tall Tales'

The
Idelsohn Society (Formerly Reboot Stereophonic)
The Idelsohn Society believes that music creates conversations
otherwise impossible in daily life. The label’s goal is to incite
a new conversation about the present by listening anew to the past,
and they will do this by unearthing lost classics from the archive,
sounds that are languishing in thrift-store crates across the nation.
The label is named for Abraham Zevi Idelsohn, legendary Jewish
musicologist and writer of everybody's favorite classic, "Hava
Nagila."

KOI Records, based out of Houston, was founded in 2005 by Mark & Rebecca Jessup.

Porterhouse Records was formed in the spring of 1997 by seminal punk rock guitarist
Greg Hetson of Bad Religion, Circle Jerks and Redd Kross,

Snarf Inc.
Snarf Inc. evolved from living room recording sessions in the Bay Area into an artist-friendly label, built by artists for artists,
to press organic recordings onto vinyl. They do it the old-fashioned way—live on tape with minimal overdubs, lots of “noise,” and a
spontaneous attitude. Music is alive in the room that it is played in. If you can capture that vibe, then you have a recording that

Records
Founded in 2000, Solitaire Records stormed the scene releasing
records by some of the best and brightest of the Midwest free jazz
and improvised music world. After a three-year hiatus, Solitaire

Are Active
Since their first release in 1999, Sounds Are Active has become
a home for free jazz/improv, experimental hip-hop and electronic
artists. A strong visual aesthetic has helped to define the label
image and augment the powerful, unorthodox sounds made by a remarkable
roster of artists, placing Sounds Are Active at the vanguard of

Standard
Recording Company
"Wouldn't it be cool to release a CD?" This was pretty much the
start of it, a question that was answered by the release of a benefit
album for Habitat For Humanity. And the label remains even today,
finding great music to release. In 2004, Standard stopped releasing
albums in jewel cases, opting instead for recycled stock packaging
or other renewable materials. Most of the releases our hand assembled
and/or hand packaged.

Originally started as SUBCONSCIOUS by Dwayne Goettel and Phil Western in 1993, the label grew into Subconscious
Communications after Dwayne’s passing in 1995 and is now run by cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy. With a studio of rare analog
synthesizers and a collective of like-minded individuals, the label now features over 30 releases of new material & rare
outtakes from Skinny Puppy, Download, The Tear Garden, Doubting Thomas, PlatEAU, Hilt, and more.

Tender Loving Empire
Portland’s Jared & Brianne Mees conceived Tender Loving Empire in 2005, as a sort of DIY melting pot. They needed a means to put out Jared’s eponymous solo project in addition to the books, comics, and t-shirts their friends were making, but had no means of selling. In 2007, after building a successful online following, they opened the Tender Loving Empire store, a tiny brick & mortar operation that has since grown to feature the work of 250 different local crafters, designers, fine artists, and musicians as well as a gallery and a custom silk-screening operation. The record label has continued to sign hard-touring, off-kilter folk and rock acts from all over the US, as well as hosting regular showcases at SXSW and MusicFest NW.

Wabana
Wabana started in 1994 as a shining beacon of the motherland, beginning

Tread
Inspired by a fresh crop of regional artists and their music, Jimmy
Eat World frontman Jim Adkins teamed up with friend and longtime
promoter Charlie Levy to form Western Tread, a Phoenix-based label
whose chief goals are to showcase some of the fledgling talents
in Arizona and the southwest. Artists include: Reubens Accomplice
and Jimmy Eat World.

Yoyo
Recordings
Yoyo Recordings began as a studio in 1984 at the start of the indie
rock movement in Olympia. In the 1990s, they began releasing compilations
of some of their better recordings. Later, they released live compilations
from their five-day, 50-band Yoyo a Go Go festival. Yoyo’s releases
cover the full range of indie stuff: punk, folk, pop, rock, rock
opera, queer, emo, twee, and active – as in activism. Releases
include the Yoyo a Go Go compilations as well as albums by Mirah
and The Microphones.
